Rubies from Burma: The rubies processed in our Raspberry Ruby Ring are all from Burma, where the most sought-after rubies in the world come from.
Mechanics
Assembled from 3 pieces, with diamond baguettes and ruby bufftops specially cut for this ring, one cannot deny the complexity of this piece. But certainly justified for the gorgeous center stone, an untreated Burmese ruby over 5 carats.
Ruby red - the color of love and passion. A fascinating piece of history, what nature has created and what will last for many generations.
The true king of gemstones
Rubies have always been considered the most prestigious gemstones. Untreated rubies often fetch significantly higher prices than diamonds, but why? Nowadays, almost all rubies are heat-treated, i.e. "fired". This is a way of intensifying the color of the stone and also making some inclusions disappear. Only around one in a thousand rubies from Burma is transparent and vivid enough to be left untreated, which is why they are highly sought-after and rare. In addition, the ruby from the corundum family is very resistant and therefore perfect for any jewels, for example for engagement rings.
